Christin Frenzel, CPI
Christin is a Balanced Body University certified Pilates instructor with over 8 years of progressive teaching experience. Her passion for strength and movement were foreshadowed throughout her years as a gymnast and competitive cheerleader. She went on to coach competitive cheerleading in college and became an ACSM certified personal trainer in 2004. In January of 2009, Christin started the BBU teachers training program as a way to cultivate excellence through knowledge in her field. She admits to never taking a Pilates class prior to pursuing her certification, and shares this with her clients as a testament to how approachable Pilates is to newcomers and advanced enthusiasts alike.
Needless to say, one class and she was hooked. Her primary focus and methods revolve around injury prevention and total body strength through proper alignment. Though a stickler for form, Christin’s goal in every class is to help you keep your muscles guessing and have FUN doing it. She is a firm believer that experiencing joy in the process of self care is essential to living a whole and balanced life.
When she’s not teaching, you’ll most likely find Christin spending time with her family, loving on her dog, Ruby, or in the woods hiking, camping, and otherwise getting back to nature with her spectacularly bearded husband, Landon, and their son Quinn.

Nicole Woodworth, CPI
Shasta Williams, CPI
Shasta played Division I basketball at Troy University, where she suffered a knee and back injury that never quite completely healed. Shortly after graduating, she moved to Los Angeles where a friend told her about the healing benefits of Pilates, and it was then that her entire perspective on exercise and strengthening changed. She began practicing regularly and became stronger and more balanced than she had ever been while being a competitive athlete. While there, she worked in entertainment management for 7 years, then decided that the corporate world wasn’t the path for her and that she wanted to focus on getting back into health and athletics. Since then, she has become a certified Health Coach through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and has recently completed her certification in Pilates through Balanced Body. Her hope is that she’s able to bring a little bit of a new perspective to Pilates for people that might be afraid to try it out- not all people that practice are graceful, petite dancers. Standing at 6’2″, she wants people to know that Pilates can really benefit anyone, of any age or body type to gain strength and to become leaner and more balanced.
Shasta and her husband moved to Nashville in 2013 with their two dogs, a Frenchie mix and a rescue mutt. In her free time, her absolute favorite thing to do is to see live music. She also loves new restaurants, hanging with friends, working out, watching sports, and the occasional guilty pleasure Netflix marathon.
Olivia Wyszkowski, CPI
Olivia’s relationship with Pilates began as a method of supplementing her dance career while at various summer programs such as The Juilliard School, American Ballet Theatre and School of American Ballet. While dancing at the Juilliard School in the summer of 2007 and 2008, she had the privilege of studying Anatomy and Kinesiology with author and professor, Irene Dowd. Olivia recalls the class as the first spark that interested her in how the body works and moves in its most efficient capacity.
In 2012, Olivia received a Bachelors of Fine Arts at SUNY Purchase College where she continued her studies in Pilates under Simona Cipriana. Upon graduating, Olivia moved to Nashville to dance with Nashville Ballet’s second company. She took her first reformer Pilates class here at Simply Balanced and completely fell in love! Olivia soon found herself at the studio every day as a means to cope with a debilitating foot injury that required surgery and a yearlong span of physical therapy. While at a crossroads in her dance Career, she decided to become a certified Pilates instructor through Balanced Body, under David Gensheimer and Jennifer McNamara. Olivia has a passion for educating movers in their various practices and believes that working out should feel more like play!
When Olivia’s not in the studio you can catch her experimenting in her kitchen, sipping a good red wine and playing with her daughter, Ryan.
